3 Treat Cough and Cold with Home Remedies Honey is a time-honoured remedy for sore throat. Create your remedy at home by mixing 2 teaspoons of honey with herbal tea or warm water and lemon. Honey works in soothing the throat, while lemon helps with congestion. Remedy seems simple but works best. Gargling may help soothe the scratchy throat and break up the mucus that causes cough and cold. Just simply mix 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of salt with 8 ounces of warm water to relieve irritation. Ginger is often used to treat nausea and upset stomach, but it may also calms cough and cold by breaking up phlegm. Have hot liquids that can reduce irritation in your nose, dryness, and mucus in your throat. Turmeric has been used traditionally for many ailments over the years, including cough. Try sipping warm turmeric tea or golden milk. Add a dash of black pepper and some honey for sweetness (if needed). To cure cold better and fast, try steam inhaler at home. Do add 1/2 teaspoon of Vicks Vaporub in your steam inhaler and inhale as much as possile to cure cold immediately.

These recipes require no gas stove, which are fun for teens and children who loves cooking. Family time is full of fun when eveyone sits together, but today because we all are so busy with our schedules that we tend to forget that. Deserts are fun for kids and pancakes are their best friend. So, today we come here with Bread Pancakes for these fun kids. • Bread – 4 slices • Chocolate spread • 1 Banana • Butter INGREDIENTS: • Firstly, take the bread slices and any chocolate bread spread. • Apply evenly the bread chocolate spread on every bread slice. • Now cut the banana in small pieces. • Put the chopped bananas on the chocolate spread bread slices and close 2 bread slices together forming a sandwich. • Now apply very little butter on the hot tawa and cook the bread from both the sides. • You can add maple syrup as garnishing (if you like). Enjoy your Bread Pancakes hot! METHOD:

FOR FRYING: • 4 tbsps LITE HOUSE Rice Bran Oil • 15 florets Gobhi/Cauliflower • 2 Potato/Aloo (peeled & chopped) FOR SABZI: • 3 tsps LITE HOUSE Rice Bran Oil • 1 tsp Cumin/Jeera • 1 tsp Kasuri Methi • 1 Onion (finely chopped) • 1 tsp Ginger-Garlic Paste • 1 Chilli (slit) • ¼ tsp Turmeric Powder • ½ tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder • ½ tsp Coriander Powder • ¼ tsp Cumin Powder/Jeera Powder • Salt as per taste • 1 Tomato (finely chopped) • ½ tsp Amchur • ¼ tsp Garam Masala • 2 tbsps Fresh Green Coriander (finely chopped) INGREDIENTS: Mr. Monu Sharma Bronze Director Jaipur 5 F R OM T H E K I T C H E N O F Gravylicious Aloo-Gobhi Masala Dry prepared By Mr. Monu Sharma METHOD: • Firstly, in a large kadai, heat 3 tsps of LITE HOUSE Rice Bran Oil and saute 1 tsp cumin with 1 tsp kasuri methi until they turn aromatic. • Further, add 1 onion and saute well. • Now add 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste, 1 slit chilli and saute for a minute. • Keep the flame low, add ¼ tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp chilli powder, ½ tsp coriander powder, ¼ tsp cumin powder and salt as required. • Saute on low flame until the spices turn aromatic. • Further, add 1 tomato and saute until tomatoes turn soft and mushy. • Now add fried aloo and gobhi. • Mix gently without breaking them. If you prefer gravy, then add ½ cup water. • Furthermore, add ½ tsp aamchur powder, ¼ tsp garammasala and 2 tbsps coriander leaves. Mix well. • Finally, Aloo-Gobhi Masala Dry recipe is ready to be served with roti or rice.

6 Delicious Baingan Masala Prepared by Mrs. Ruksana Bano Mrs. Ruksana Bano Star Director Assam F R OM T H E K I T C H E N O F • 3 tbsp LITE HOUSE Rice Bran Oil • 1 Mustard Seeds/Rai • 1 tsp Urad Dal • ½ tsp Chana Dal INGREDIENTS: • Few Curry Leaves • 1 Onion (sliced) • 2 Green Chilli (slit) • 1 Tomato (finely chopped) • ¼ tsp Turmeric/Haldi • Salt as per taste • 1 Baingan/Eggplant (chopped) • 2 tbsp Coriander (finely chopped) METHOD: • Firstly, in a large kadai heat 3 tbsps of LITE HOUSE Rice Bran Oil and splutter 1 tsp mustard seeds, 1 tsp urad dal, ½ tsp chana dal and few curry leaves. • Add 1 sliced onion and saute. Also add 2 green chilli and saute well. • Additionally, add 1 chopped tomato and saute until tomatoes turn soft and mushy. • Furthermore add ¼ tsp turmeric powder and salt as required. Saute well. • Now add 1 chopped baingan/eggplant and mix gently. • Do not over mix, as baigan will get mushy. • Cover and simmer for 10 minutes or till baingan turns slightly soft. • Stir occasionally while making sure the baingan doesn't burn. • Cover and cook till the baigan cooks well and releases oil. • Add 2 tbsps of fresh green coriander leaves and mix well. • Serve Baigan Masala recipe with rice or roti.

Make sure to wash and pat dry before slicing. Slice into thick strips and remove the seeds. • Deep fry in hot LITE HOUSE Rice Bran Oil. Fry until the bhindi turns crispy golden. • Drain off excess oil. • Add 1 tsp chilli powder, ¼ tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp coriander powder, ½ tsp cumin powder and ½ tsp chaat masala. • Mix well and make sure all the spices are well coated. • Now add 1 tsp of lemon juice and salt as required. Mix well. • Marinate for 10 minutes and do make sure that the flavours are absorbed well. • Add 2 tsps of LITE HOUSE Rice Bran Oil and mix gently. Keep in mind that the coating of masala is done well. • Do not add any extra water, salt helps to release moisture and adding water makes bhindi sticky. • Finally, enjoy Kurkuri Bhindi as an evening snack or for a side dish of lunch.
