6 Sunday Funday Recipe: Tasty Bombay Sandwiches HEALTHY Sunday FundayKids with Sunday Funday with Kids is curated especially with recipes that are for kids and youngsters who are keen to cook for their near and dear ones. These recipes require no gas stoves that are fun for teens and children who love cooking. Family time is full of fun when everyone sits together but today because we all are so busy with our schedules, tend to forget. So let’s remember those times and spend some quality time with family. • 4 bread slice • 1 sliced onion • 1 sliced boiled potato • 1 sliced tomato • 1 sliced cucumber • 4 tbsp fresh mint chutney • 4 tbsp ketchup • chat masala INGREDIENTS: • Take 4 slices of bread. • Apply ketchup on 2 slices of bread and apply mint chutney on the other 2 slices. • Place the mint chutney bread slices on the kitchen counter or on a plate to assemble the veggies. • Start placing vegetables one on another. Place the cucumber first, then tomato, onion, and then potato. • Sprinkle some chat masala over it before closing with the ketchup bread slices. • Close the sandwich with the ketchup bread slices. • Take help in cutting the sandwich into 4 parts. • Your Bombay Sandwiches are ready to be eaten immediately. METHOD: • Take a kadai, heat LITE HOUSE Rice Bran Oil along with kasuri methi, chopped garlic, and ginger paste. Sauté until turns aromatic. • Add onions and sauté again. Add capsicum and sauté slightly. • Now add chilli powder, turmeric, salt as per taste, and pav bhaji masala. • As the spices turn aromatic, add tomato and sauté until mushy. Mash the tomatoes until smooth. • Add lemon juice here at this stage and fresh coriander leaves. Mix really well. Your bhaji is ready! • On a flat tawa, heat little LITE HOUSE Rice Bran Oil with fresh coriander leaves along with pav bhaji masala and sauté well. • Put 2 sliced pav and toast on both sides. • Spread the prepared bhaji in between the pav. Top it up with chopped onions and close with the other pav. • Your Masala Pavs are now ready to be served immediately. Butterlicious Butter Paneer Masala Prepared by Ms. Nasreen 8 Ms. Nasreen Bronze Director F R OM T H E K I T C H E N O F • 7 tbsp LITE HOUSE Rice Bran Oil • 2 pods cardamom • 5 cloves • 2 sliced onion • 2 clove garlic • 3 sliced tomato • 1 inch ginger • 15 cashews • 1 bay leaf • 1 finely chopped onion • 1 chilli • 1 tsp chilli powder • ½ tsp turmeric • ¾ tsp coriander powder • ½ garam masala • ¼ tsp cumin powder • salt as per taste • 2 tbsp cream • 1 cup water • 16 cubes paneer • 2 tbsp finely chopped fresh green coriander leaves • 1 tsp kasuri methi INGREDIENTS: METHOD: • In a large kadai, heat some LITE HOUSE Rice Bran Oil with cloves, and cardamom pods. Sauté on low heat until aromatic. • Add onions, ginger, and garlic. Sauté well. • Now add tomato with cashews and sauté for 2 minutes. • Cover with a lid and let it boil for 10 minutes or until the tomato turns mushy. • Let it cool completely and then grind it into a smooth paste. • Filter the gravy once to remove the seeds and the tomato skin. Keep aside. • In a big kadai, heat LITE HOUSE Rice Bran Oil again with bay leaf and chilli. Sauté a little. • Add onions and sauté again until golden brown. • On medium-low flame, add coriander powder, chilli powder, turmeric, salt as per taste, garammasala, and cumin powder. Sauté well. • Add the prepared gravy and mix again. • Cook until the oil separates. Now add a cup of water and mix really well. • Now add cream and again mix. Add cubed paneer and mix gently. • Let it simmer for 5-6 minutes. • Add kasure methi and fresh coriander leaves for garnish. • Your Butter Paneer Masala is ready to be served hot with rotis or naans. Enjoy!

Ms. Saroj Silver Director F R OM T H E K I T C H E N O F • In a small mixer grinder, take fresh coriander leaves, ginger, mint leaves, garlic, chillis, cinnamon, 2 cardamom pods, fennel, and cloves with ½ cup water. Blend it into a smooth paste. Keep aside. • In a large kadai, heat LITE HOUSE Rice Bran Oil along with bay leaf, cumin seeds, cardamom, cinnamon, black pepper, cloves, and cashews. • Sauté on low heat until they turn aromatic. • Add onion and sauté until the colour changes. Now add tomato and sauté again until they turn mushy. • Now further add capsicum, beans, carrot, peas, and potato. Sauté for a minute. • Add the blended mixture with salt as per requirement. Mix well. • Add 2 cups water and stir well while it boils. • Once the water comes to a boil, add soaked rice. Mix well, cover and let it simmer for 20 minutes or until the water dries completely. • Your Vegetable Pulao is ready to be served hot. Enjoy! METHOD: Healthy Vegetable Pulao Prepared by Ms. Saroj 9 • 1 cup rice (soaked 20 minutes) • ½ cup fresh green coriander leaves • 1 inch ginger • ¼ cup fresh mint leaves • 2 clove garlic • 4 pod cardamom • 2 slit chillis • 2 cinnamon stick (1 inch each) INGREDIENTS • 1 tsp fennel / saunf • 8 cloves • 3 cup water • 2 tbsp LITE HOUSE Rice Bran Oil • 1 tsp cumin seeds • ½ tsp black pepper • 1 bay leaf • 5 cashews, halves • 1 finely chopped tomato • ½ sliced onion • 5 chopped beans • 2 tbsp peas • ½ cubed capsicum • ½ chopped carrot • salt to taste • ½ cubed potato
